There is no specific data about this anywhere, but roughly, around 60-70k candidates are recruited every year by banks in India. That means banks in India provide jobs to around 60000 candidates every year. But the fact is even deeper. These 600000 candidates are selected from more than 6 million candidates who apply for these jobs. This is not the accurate data, but it is roughly close. It means only around 10% of applicants manage to get a job in the bank. Each year millions of students in India prepare for and fight for various private and public sector government jobs. This is just an example. IBPS is a common examination for recruitment in various private and public sector banks in India. The situation is somewhat similar in other banks including SBI, BOB, etc.

Bank of Baroda Recruitment 2014

Bank of Baroda (BoB) is an Indian bank with its headquarter located in Vadodara, Gujarat. BOB is the second largest bank in India after State Bank of India. BOB, similar to other banks, recruit personnel for its various branches all over India and other countries. Until 2011, BOB was conducting a separate recruitment exam for recruitment of Officers, clerks and other personnel in their bank. Since last two years, BOB is recruiting through the common exam conducted by the IBPS.

Bank of Baroda recruits its candidates through IBPE exam only. The written exam is followed by Personal Interview and Group Discussion, which is also conducted by the IBPS since last year.

Candidates seeking a career in the second largest bank of India (BOB), must prepare themselves for the IBPS exam as this is the only way to get entrance in the BOB. This is the reason why most of the graduates aim at various SBI recruitment exams conducted throughout the year. But, the hard truth is that the competition is much and much high than the demand. Even if the SBI announces a recruitment for 1000 candidates, at least 10 lakh candidates will apply for it. First: Under the Paper pattern

Paper pattern might be different for different exams and it is utmost important that you understand the paper pattern with your heart. There are 2 phases in SBI PO exam, Phase 1 Objective + Descriptive Exam and Phase 2 GD + Interview

Phase 1: Since the phase 1 is a written examination, your knowledge and qualification will help you in this phase. Phase 1 wil be of two hours and will include multiple choice objective questions from English Language (grammar, vocabulary, comprehension etc.), General Awareness, Marketing & Computers, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Reasoning (high level). The descriptive test will be conducted to judge the candidate’s command over English language.

State Bank of India to recruit 7200 in FY15

State Bank of India has claimed that they are planning to recruit 7200 new staff in the financial year 2015 as around 8100 of their current staff will be retiring in the current financial year.

SBI, which is the largest public sector bank of India, is also one of the biggest recruiting banks in the country coming up thousands of job openings every year.
