RBI Recruitment 2014 for the post of Assistant

The Reserve Bank of India is recruiting professionals for the post of “Assistant” in various branches of the bank all over India. The selection procedure for the posts will include a common all India level online examination and personal Interview.

RBI recently published the official notification for recruitment of the candidates for the post of Assistant in RBI branches. The notification was released on July 15 and online registration process will start from July 16 and will run till August 06, 2014. Candidates can apply online through the RBI website

  • Online registration: 16.07.2014 to 06.08.2014
  • Payment of Examination Fees Online: 16.07.2014 to 06.08.2014
  • Payment of Examination Fees at Bank branches: 18.07.2014 to 11.08.2014
  • Online Test (Tentative) date: Around fourth week of September 2014

Online Application process

In order to apply online for RBI Assistant recruitment 2014, candidates need to follow this procedure

  1. Go to the official website of RBI or click here
  2. Click on the link given at top right that says “Click here for New Registration”
  3. Read the points carefully and click on Continue button
  4. Now, fill up your details, cross-check them and hit the “Save & Next” button at the bottom right corner
  5. Upload your photo and signature in the given format and click on Next button
  6. Enter the remaining details and click on Next
  7. Cross-check all the details in the Preview section and click Submit
  8. Choose the mode of payment and pay online or offline

Once you are done with the registration and payment successfully, you will receive a receipt of the payment on your Email id. You are also advised to save a copy of the application form for future purpose.

Eligibility Criteria

There are a total of 506 Assistant posts for which following candidates can apply

  • Must be an Indian citizen
  • Age Between 18 and 28 years as on 01 July 2014
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a min of 50% marks and knowledge of word processing
  • Proficient in the local language of the state

Selection Procedure

RBI Assistant posts selection will be based on a online examination and Interview. The online examination is likely to be conducted in the last week of September 2014 and it will consist questions from following subjects

  • English Language
  • Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Numerical Ability
  • Computer Knowledge

Each section will comprise 40 questions of 40 marks and the paper will finish in two hours.

Only candidates, who successfully clear the online exam round, will be eligible to appear in the interview round.
